Abington Kids
Creative Learning Center, Inc.
Abington Kids educational philosophy is research-driven, experience-rich and will encourage children to foster a life-long love of learning. Simply put, we believe that children learn best when they’re actively having fun with hands-on learning experiences! Our philosophy is based on principles put forth by the early childhood theorist, Jean Piaget who recognized the vital role of play in children’s cognitive and social development. “Play is the answer to how anything new comes about.” Piaget found that children learn best when they discover and construct their own knowledge through hands-on, rich learning experiences. Our educational philosophy also reflects the ideas of noted developmental psychologist Lev Vygotsky in that we believe children have a better understanding of their learning while in a social setting with other learners. When combined, these two learning theories, commonly known as Social Constructivism, lead to what we know to be the most effective model for educating young children. It is this educational framework supporting all learning that takes place at Abington Kids.

Open Early
We realize that not everyone needs child care from 9-5. We are open early to accommodate a variety of schedules plus school delays and schedule changes.

HOMEWORK HELP
We provide homework help for all subjects. We provide homework support so your child feels comfortable and confident with their homework projects.

TRANSPORTATION
We work with the schools to provide bus transportation from school to our center. We also have two Abington Kids Creative Learning Center vans to transport our Kindergarten age students.

FITNESS
We want to keep your children active during the day. We offer exciting and fun ways to incorporate fitness into your child's care.

SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY
We offer daily STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) EDUCATION lessons. Teachers purposely connect content from math and science. Students can then begin to see that science and math are not isolated subjects but work together to solve problems.
